SIGNS...
One Tuesday morning, when the girls are in school… “Hoi! What’s that you’re drawing?” Kipi said. “Big DUH! It’s a castle, isn’t it obvious…hekhekhek, joke!” Cucubabe replied. “I know it’s a castle but why is the background dark?! Super dull naman!”, “I don’t know… it’s strange. When I’m drawing this, it’s like some weird voice whispered in my ears and made me drew this castle!” Cucubabe said. “hala ka! Wahahaha! Well, it’s beautiful naman e, but it looks sad nga lang with its background.” Kipi said.
When it’s finally recess, Kipi went to the washroom and found a small blue locket. “Wow naman, super kawawa naman the one who misplaced this! So stunning pa naman!” then Kipi went to the teachers to ask in their respective class who owns that locket, after a long-time of asking, it turns out that nobody owns it. “Hmmm, I’ll keep it na nga lang, maybe it’s good luck charm!”
In the classroom, Cookie is busy writing something. Lyda, their close friend, asked her what she’s writing; Cookie was still, she didn’t answer Lyda. Then Lyda snatched the paper and read what was written on it. It was a story, an out of this world story, a fiction about a queen who fell in a deep sleeping spell, so deep that no one could wake her up, the evil witch did that to the queen, and only her “true love” can wake her up by a sweet kiss…
Lunch time came; Cucubabe wasn’t in the mood because Pao, the guy who has a crush on her since grade school asked her if he could court her now that she’s already 16. Cucubabe celebrated her 16th birthday last Sunday with her friends and of course her sister Kipi, Cookie wasn’t there because she said “something came up” so she missed it. They had fun playing, eating and watching movies that day. Cucubabe don’t know what to do that time, she was so embarrassed because Pao asked that in front of Paula and Bambini. Luckily she was saved by the bell! On the other hand, Cookie was not in the mood too because Ely keeps teasing her, she was pissed already and did not talk until dismissal time. And of course, if her sisters are not in the mood, Kipi was not in the mood too because Pappy, her best friend, still doesn’t tell his chikka to her. And because she’s thinking of Sean, she was able to text him last night and shared some of her problems. She was so happy that night until this day came; she shed a tear beside Pappy when it was prayer time. The cause was, she thought that Sean got involved by her “kabobohan” because Sean got a low grade too in their quiz that day because of her. But Sean said it was okay when Kipi said sorry… Kipi was feeling jealous too by a certain “thing” but she doesn’t want to talk about it anymore…
